These are the Pictures to go with the Last Blog.

Time at the PCC

Dear Family and Friends,
W find find life is as busy or busier than we have been for a while. We are having a great time visiting with people from all over the world. Dad gave me a really special birthday. We got our laundry done early then went shopping in Miliani on the other side of the mountain, about an hour away, I needed some walking shoes and some other things from Walmart and a few groceries. On the way home we stopped at Turtle beach and enjoyed watching the turtles feeding at the edge of the water and playing in the waves. We came home and got some things done, and I also had a chance to work on my quilt, I'm just about through with my first 22" Hawaiian quilt; I'm making into a pillow. In the evening we dressed up in our aloha wear and went to dinner at the Ambassador. When dad was getting our tickets he had all the associated at the ticket counter sing Happy Birthday to Me, then while we were waiting to be seated for dinner; we were waiting with a group of Japanese people and dad had then sing Happy Birthday to me. I was imbarrased but it was fun. After a wonderful dinner we went to the Nite show, which was wonderful. One of the girls that had worked with us in the Mission Settlement (Gavanga-New Zealand name) seated us in a perfect place, at intermission she brought us refreshments and presented me with a beautiful Plumanary Lei, she didn't know it was my birthday and Dad told her, she was so sweet and really completed the specialness of our days experience. Each day we get to enjoy the beautiful Raindow padgent on the Lagoon just outside the Mission home. We Love being here. Thanks for all your kind birthday wishes, it was great to hear from you all. Love You All Dad and Mom

Another Adventure to come

Dear Familey and friends, We have had an Interesting summer and a special time with our Children and Grand children. We have been to Vail Colorado and back for a special baby blessing of Alex and then back to Vail. We had a wonderful time with
Natalie and the family. We fed Parkers Pig and got to help walk the pigs. We were able to play in the garden with the family weeding the flower beds and rearranging the watering, drip system. We went for walks and went shopping. We had a great time in Yellowstone with Brad,Allen and Natalie and their families. We experienced the Old Faithful or as Connor called it Old Reliable, we got a little chuckle out of that. When we returned home our mission call was there for Hwaii. We are very excited. We look forward to what ever time we can have with our family. We love you All.

Scorpions are part of our world here.

Wow, we are getting things all cleaned up before we come home.. We cleaned carpets, today we had the motor home washed and waxed, and we cleaned the windows inside. We are squeeky clean. As I was cleaning up outside there was a little scorpion crawling towards a box to kide under the box. I scooped it up and put it in a bottle to bring home. We caught one once before but released it, we took a picture of it before we let it go. They live in the palm trees and when the wind blows it knocks them out of the trees. Fortunately they are just baby scorpions not big daddies and mommies. The computer class we have been taking has been really fun.
We are looking forward to getting home and setting up our own computer and practicing what we have learned. We are loving the sun and our fun activities. As I am sitting here in the computer room typing and can see out the glass door next to me and I'm watching all the sun worshipers out by the pool soaking up sun. It's a beautiful day. We love you all, take care. Love Dad and Mom.

the letter to the children

Here is another day in my life in the sun filled AZ.
We have a picture of the sea front of Maui in a Walai beach, it is so nice to be in my second childhood and know that I don't have to get too old,or myabe I do?
we have been to class yesterday that help me to understand how to send this letter and I'm slow becaust of my typing (Nat;that reminds me of a story that Monty Stevens told me, ha,ha,ha) and the fellow next to me, types like a legal secretary, so much for the gift of confidence.
We sure enjoyed hearing from the Fams they made my day on my brithday and I can now read the remaks in thae bolg,ti is great and enjoy what we did that day.
Mother was saying that the place down here is like La,La,Land, and that is no joke, because we have all the time to do what we want to do and know that there is no time schudle that we have to meet.
We went to the Temple to do sealing and the group of us did 8 names and one name was Sidney and another was Isabella, made mother and I look to the day we can go through with each of the grandchildren and their spouses, that will be great days for us.
Well our class will start in a few monments so I close for now and writ another day

Another day in la, la land.

Yesterday was Dad's birthday and I he had a great day. All of our children called and some even called a couple times. He was sung to by some of our wonderful grandchildren and some of our amazing children and he really loved that. It is the highlight of our day when we hear from our children. There is nothing in the world that brings us more joy than our children and to know that they are strong in the gospel. We started our day out with a special breakfast of pancakes and eggs and milk. We got our exercise in and then down to business with another puzzle. Only one concern, you don't get much exercise while working on a puzzle. However we did take a break and went for a bike ride. Lunch was "The Works Pizza "from Papa John's a block away. Dinner was a nice big salad with Poppy seed dressing and Crab meat. We had a great evening by going to the Easter Pagent at the Temple grounds. It was wonderful. There were over 400 membert in the cast and the stage and costumes and lighting etc. were excellent. Our neighbor,Paul, went with us and he was very impressed and we enjoyed his company. We enjoyed our Cake and Ice Cream with Paul and his Wife Gayle the night before so that it would be a surprise to Dad. I had to make the cake while he was at the computer room and I didn't want him to know about it. It was fun. We are doing well and Life is good. Now that we have the computers to play on and and a few other things that we have incorperated into our schedual we are enjoying it even better. We are looking to being with the family again. Love you All.

Fun with Puzzles,

Sorry there are no pictures but when we get home I'll learn how to do that. We are having a lot of fun doing puzzles. Only one problem, after we put all that time into putting them together we can't take them appart, so we glue them and turn them into something perminent.
It's getting warmer and we will be spending more time outside ridding bikes, swimming, and exploring Mesa and other areas of the state. April is comming up fast.
Love You All.

A DAY IN THE RAIN.

Today we didn't have any plans so we went exploring. We were going to go to Wickenberg but on the way we saw a big Flea Market so we stopped in Goodyear.
It was a cold rainy day and not really nice enough for touring Wickenberg, so we walked around the Flea Market and enjoyed seeing all the different things they have to offer. We bought a dominoes set so we can play Mexican train. The guy that sold it to us was Mexican and he said the Mexicans don't even know what that game is. We thought that was rather funny. We had a fun time together and on the way home we had our little picnic we had put together for our trip to Wickenderg. Another day when the weather is better we will enjoy Wichenberg.

An advenutre day

Today is thursday and Grandpa and I decided to do something fun. We went to the art musium and enjoyed seeing some interesting art created here in Mesa. Some it made no sence and then there was some things that were quite beautiful and some just interesting. We then went to the birt sancutary and enjoyed seeing lots of different kinds of birds. We saw birds of all sizes and colors. Geese, duchs, cranes, humming birds and many that we didn't have the names for. There were tirtles, and fish and other creatures there but not seen. We were able to visit the computer lab to check out our email. Cool, we have a email. and we also visited our blog and our children's blogs. It's PARKERS BIRTHDAY. A special day for someone very special. While I was checking out the blogs I also had a chance to find some new Doiley patterns. They will be fun to try. Life is good. Tomorrow is another very special day. BAILEY, HANNAH AND SIDNEY WILL BE 11 YEARS OLD. "HAPPY TO YOU ALL."

Back to live in Az.

Life in Arizona is very different from Utah. No SNOW and it's warmer. If we could transport our entire family here life would be better. We enjoy our Institute class on Tuesday and The temple on Wed. There are always plenty of things to do, It's just
remembering what time and where it is to be able to participate. Exercising is one of the things I enjoy in the morning. John and I have enjoyed riding bikes in the RV park and outside when the trafic isn't too busy. Not much else to share for now.

Week in SLC FEB. 9, 2008

This has been a very good and busy week.
It has been a week of Preparing Taxes, Catching up on months of Mail and taking care of all the things to keep our life on course. Grandpa has been busy taking care of all the things that take brain power, and enjoying the Family. The cold has really bothered his knees, unfortunately he has been hurting from the cold. I, however, have been able to have fun playing with Samantha and Ella Reading stories, playing games, making jewlry with Sam and Ella, with the fun beed set Sam received for her birthday. Sam has had a great week with lots of Birthday celebrations, one on Sunday with Grandma and Grandpa Silver and the family at Dinner. On Tuesday, her real birthday, with Mom,Dad,Ella, and Gram, and Grampa Hansen. Then again on Saturday with her friends at "Flips" a Gymnastic place.
Everyone there had a great time, Ella had a great time too with all the big girls learning how to be a gymnist and do flips.
Eve has been working on a beautiful "log cabin pattern" quilt that she and Sam put together. Eve cut out all the pieces and Sam helped by handing her the pieces to sew together. The quilt is going to be so neet, warm and fun for snuggling with thier new baby boy.
Saturday was a wonderful training meeting for all adults by satalite at the church.
Elder Packer, Elder Holland and Elder Oaks along with the General board Pres. of the RS, YW and Primary. Pres. Monson spoke to the Church about the importance of the family and how we can best fill our role as parents. This was his first official
talk to the Church as President. The entire meeting was a wonderful reminder of how we can prepare our family to be and eternal Family. The Proclamation on the Family
was the basis for the meeting. If we heed the things taught in the meeting we will all do well.

Amazing Saturday Feb.2,2008

Today we had an amazing day. As we drove into Stephanie's to help get ready for the blessing on sunday, we were able to listen to the comments about Pres. Hinkley and all the things and comments that had transpired and had been said about Pres. Hinkley. We had can trouble so as we waited for help many kind people stopped to help but we had already called for assistance. Some of the things that were done to honor Pres. Hinkley were as follows. At the West High School someone had marked out,
in the snow, We Love you Pres. Hinkley. People lined the streets to wave, with their
cains and white handkerchiefs, as the Herst passed by. Pres Hinkley was dearly loved and honored as our Prophet. Pres. Hinlkey was a doer and accomplished much in his livetime. There were presidents before him that had great ideas but didnt have the chance to accomplish their ideas. Pres. Hinkley went ahead and did the things that others had wanted to accomplish. It was like Pres. Brigham Young accomplishing the things Pres. Joseph Smith wanted to do but was killed before he could accomplish his ideas. He built many temples, He started the education fund, He built the confrence center, the pulpet was built from the walnut tree that grew in their back yard. There were so many things that he accomplished and and many more that have been started that will be completed in the next five years. He will be sorly missed.
Something else that added to the awsome day was Braden's Baptism. It was their stakes baptism day and many families had gathered at their stake center. There were several children being baptized so the chapel and over flow was filled with family and friends. The baptism was wonderful and the day was beautiful. Grandpa McMullin and Grandpa Hansen were the Whitmesses. While everyone waited for Braden and Allen to change, Cheri had prepared nice little papers for everyone to write a message to Braden about his special day. There was a large group of elders [Family members] that stood in the circle while Allen Confirmed with the Holy Ghost. Afterwards we had a lovely lunchon and everyone was able to enjoy one another and visit.

Jan. 30, 2008 Happy Birthday April

This has been quite a week. Each day I learn something new either about how to do something on the blog or some new piece of information. Tuesday when we went to our Institute class we learned some about Paul and the amazing person he was. I am growing to love that man. He was very zelous in the gospel once he was visited by the savior. Our instructor had prepared a really nice tribute to Pres. Hinkley, it was very touching. In class one of the sisters shared someting about the youth at Mt. view High Seminary. When they heard, sunday night, that Pres. Hinkley had passed away, they texed each of the other kids that they knew at the Seminary and planned to wear their sunday clothes on monday to show respect for Pres. Hinkley. My heart was touched by the thoughtfulness of those students. There was also a nice artical in the news paper about Pres. Hinkley and our neighbors knew we are L.D.S. so they wanted to make sure we received the paper that day.
We are so excited to see our family this weekend and be able to spent a week in S.L.C. We're sad Natalie and Bruce and the kids won't be able to come because of the bad roads. Love to you all.

It's another day. 1-23-08

Hay All,
I just spent minutes typing another blog and did something, I don't know what and errased it.
just need to do this enough times to make it work for me. It's fun to read everyone's blog.
I'll eventually figure this out and then I won't feel so "Computor Illiderate"

It's a New Day 1-23-08

It's a new day and we find all kinds of things to keep us busy. This morning I got up and wrote in my journal and read our lesson we had yesterday in our institute class. It was good to review

the things we learned about Paul and his journies and the experiences he and Barnabus had.

Dad went over for a shower; it's like summer camp for the last two years, showering at a shower away from the place we live. Dad came back, had breakfast and went to the computer lab.

I went to exercise and shower and called April to learn how to get to our email. Then I finally

was able to get to the email after days of failure. Oh well, there wasn't anything there anyway.

Each thing I learn to do on the computer makes me so happy. I don't feel so illiderate towads

the computer. It can be my freind. I tried to leave a comment on Eve's blog but wasn't successful. One more thing to figure out.

january 18, 2008

Dear family,
It has been really interesting to see how this blogging works. Thanks to Natalie and April we are in the world of bloggers how. It's fun to have a new activity along with the things we are doing here in the park. Last week was really busy with an Institute class on tues. wed. we went to the Mesa temple and did sealings, thursday we took a genealogy class to try to get started with our
Genealogy and Friday we went to Kingman Az. to see John,s sister Nancy and her family for the day. Saturday was fun too, we went to the temple and helped with the grounds clean up. When
we finished, everyone that was there for the project gathered in the garage or building for the gardners and sang primary songs and had a closing prayer. We had a great time. We were told we could come any time we have some free time and help with the gardening. We were allowed to pick some fruit from the trees on the grounds. We go some grapefruit and tangalo's and some
pecons. There were also oranges, lemons and mango's, but we didn't get to those trees.
This week we have both had colds, so we have been taking it easy. The only thing we have been
doing is resting and reading and working on the computer and shopping.
Today I made some home made chicken soug to try to help the cold get better. I used curley noodles and they sucked up all the juice so had to make more juice.
I'll close for now. Love mom and Dad. Grandma and Grandpa. Hansen

Family Update.

I don't know who will be reading this, but we now have a blog site. It was fun to read Natalie's and Eve's and Johnny and April's Blog. If I can learn how to do all this I'll really feel accomplished. We came over to the computer lab at the park where we are staying at noon and it is now 2:30 and I am just now figuring out how to get this going. Thanks April for setting
me up. Let me know if this actually comes across.

This week we have been a bit home bound, Dad has a cold. Dad has been working on our
stocks and trying to get things going with medicare. They don't make it easy when you are
out of state. It's rather frustrating, it's good we are coming home in Feb. for a week so we
can take care of all the odds and ends we need to take care of .

We appreciate being able to talk to you all on the phone. Now that we have a blog site maby
the grand kids will type us a letter occasionally so we can hear from them.

Grampa has a computer pass so we can ckeck to blog sites and send a letter back. We love you all. Love Grandma and Grandpa Hansen.
